Until June, 2009, I had lived my entire life in one state - California. My parents were born there, my children were born there, my husband, Bruce, was born there. After a number of years serving as a professional mom, I attended seminary at Church Divinity School of the Pacific, Berkeley, CA, and was ordained in Berkeley on the Feast of the Epiphany in 2000. Just before coming to Christ Church, I worked in the alternate universe of Los Angeles - at a small, diverse Episcopal school in the heart of the city.

What I love about CCC: I love that this Cathedral takes its place (location) in the world seriously and is truly engaged with the immediate world outside our doors...and that those who appear to be "outsiders" so often find a place of rest, refreshment, and safety inside our walls.
