Mission Statement

Striving always to be faithful witnesses of Christ our Lord, we the people of Christ Church Cathedral are called to love and serve God through active ministry outside our parish. We are committed to working collectively and individually with those in need, while respecting their dignity as human beings. As we engage in this ministry, we will strive always to exercise responsible stewardship of all the gifts God has given us.

The Missions Committee at Christ Church Cathedral is involved in outreach work locally, nationally and globally and in the Episcopal seminaries. The committee meets monthly to receive, review and take action on requests for assistance.

A primary prerequisite of any grant or donation request to the committee is that the solicited funds come from programs in which church members are involved. The committee realizes that financial support is crucial to these organizations, but that personal involvement, and a commitment of time and energy to each project, reflects the mandate of Jesus to His disciples to "feed my People."
