He performs works by Tournemire, Franck, Vierne, and Guy Bovet. Suggested donation: $10, $5 |
| Sunday, Feb. 26 4:30 p.m. | "The Tudors" : The Gentlemen of the Cathedral Choir are joined by the Early Music Institute of the Jacobs School of Music, Indiana University, in a performance of sixteenth-century sacred music spanning the reign of three English monarchs. |
| Sunday, March 4 4:30 p.m. | Echoing Air: Echoing Air is one of Indianapolis’s musical treasures. Countertenors Steven Rickards and Nathan Medley are joined by an impressive array of instrumentalists, featuring music by Pelham Humfrey, Henry Lawes and Betty Roe, with the world premiere of Benjamin Martinson’s setting of Gerard Manley Hopkins’ poem, “Henry Purcell”. |
| Sunday, March 10 7:30 p.m. | Concert: Jitro Girls’ Choir (Czech Republic) Praised by the Washington Post for its artistry of “astonishing diversity and depth”, the Czech Girls’ Choir – Jitro (“Daybreak”) – is one of the top ensembles of its kind anywhere. The New York Times was quick to acknowledge that this choir “can certainly hold its own on any stage in the world”. The select group of 25 singers is carefully auditioned from a thriving program of 350 young musicians. The Czech Republic’s finest! Tickets at door: $10, $15. |
