Schedule
As families across Indiana prepare to celebrate Thanksgiving, some will find their tables empty. Join us as we examine the causes and issues of hunger in a spiritual retreat Friday, November 13th and Saturday, November 14th. We will explore feeding ministries at Christ Church Cathedral and new service opportunities to nourish our bodies and souls. Friday, November 13th
- 6:00 - Dinner in Parish Hall
- 6:30 - Dave Miner from Indianapolis Interfaith Hunger Initiative/Bread for the World will give presentation and lead discussion on hunger issues
- 8:00 - Closing prayers
Saturday, November 14th
- 8:30 - 11:00 - Group meets at St. John's in Speedways and participates in distributing food to families at St. John's Storeroom
- 11:30 - 1:30 - Return to CCC and have lunch together
- 1:00 - 2:00 - Speaker from Second Helpings
- 2:00 - 2:30 - Break and group walks around the Cathedral to see what immediately surrounding the building impacts and/or reflects hunger.
- 2:30 - 3:30 - Bible study and personal reflection time.
- 3:30 - 4:00 - Evaluation and group wrap up
