This year, the Outreach Team Ministry is partnering with Coburn Place to support survivors of partner violence for Christmas. Coburn Place has been empowering survivors of interpersonal abuse – and their children – for 25 years. Through safe housing and supportive services, we aim to create stronger people, stronger families and – ultimately – stronger communities. In lieu of the Adopt-a-Family process in years before, we’re adopting all Coburn families! Contributions from CCC will be sent directly to Coburn Place so that their staff can distribute our gifts.

We need your help in two ways:

OPTION 1: Purchase directly from the Coburn Place Amazon wish list

Purchase items on Coburn’s wish list via Amazon. Just select the home “pack” you’d like to purchase and send it directly to Coburn place by using the links below (please be sure to follow the step-by-step directions to ensure they know it is a CCC donation!).

In order to track each gift as credited to CCC’s drive, donors need to indicate this by doing the following steps:
1. After adding item to your cart, make sure the “This is a Gift” option has been checked right under the button “Proceed to Payment.”
2. On the Shipping and Payment page select “Coburn Place – Drew LaCroix” to deliver to this address.
3. In the “Gift Message” box, you must put the name of the company or organization you represent (“Christ Church Cathedral”), and your name in the “From” section at the bottom.

OPTION 2: Purchase a gift card

Parishioners who prefer not to use online shopping can choose to purchase $25.00 gift cards from stores like Walmart, Target, Meijer, Speedway, or Kroger that Coburn Place will use and distribute to their residents. They can bring the gift cards to the service they attend and drop it in the offering plate or mail the gift card to the church.

BONUS OPTION: CCC parishioners may simply make a monetary contribution to CCC that is specifically marked as “Adopt-A-Family” in the memo line and the committee will use these funds to purchase gift cards and send them to Coburn Place.
