Christ Church Cathedral looks for New Canon for Latino Ministries in Indianapolis

Christ Church Cathedral is actively seeking a New Canon for Latino Ministry in Indianapolis

One-third of the congregation of Christ Church Cathedral, Indy worships in Spanish. 2020 is the 20th anniversary of our Latino Ministries. We have an immediate need for the next Canon for Latinx-Latino Ministries. Prefer an experienced priest, natively fluent in both Spanish language and Latinx-Latino culture. Strong preaching and pastoral skills appreciated. CCC’s Latino members come from Mexico, Central and South America, are multi-generational, dreamers, citizens, documented and undocumented. Every decision, every event, needs to be considered from multi-ethnic, bilingual, diverse perspectives. While the Canon will be the primary (but not only) pastor, preacher, and priest to Latinx-Latino members, s/he will also serve the entire congregation supporting CCC’s vision to widen the circle of God’s embrace in heart and voice, with the Interim Dean, clergy and staff. ASA 2019 of the Spanish service is 81.

CCC is in transition and engaged in the search process for its next Dean and Rector. This position is during the interim time, at least one year. We are also willing to consider a retired priest, with the needed fluency and strong pastoral skills.
