Fatima was assigned by Bishop Baskerville-Burrows to be our Deacon in 2018. Through the years Fatima has been an active member of Christ Church and was sponsored by the Cathedral in her call to the Diaconate. A deacon serves where sent by the Bishop, and is often assigned away from the sponsoring congregation. Fatima’s appointment is shared with the Diocese of Indianapolis. She will be working part-time on the Bishop’s staff as Missioner for Community Engagement; and also part-time at Christ Church as Deacon. In addition to serving as deacon at our liturgies twice a month. Fatima will be assigned to work with our ministries of service, including the Outreach Committee, Global Missions and the Covenant Grants Committee. When she is not at the Cathedral, Fatima will be working throughout the Diocese helping congregations reach out to their neighbors and to advocates for justice.
