Black History Month | CCC’s Role in History

Christ Church Cathedral is the oldest Episcopal church in Indianapolis, dating back to the summer of 1837. In those 185 years, the congregation has witnessed countless changes to its immediate neighborhood and to the greater community. Join Lee Little, historiographer of the Episcopal Diocese of Indianapolis at the Sunday Forum in the Parish Hall for a discussion of how Christ Church has impacted and reacted to the life of Indianapolis. Much of the conversation will focus on the role of the congregation at pivotal points in city history, particularly during the political and social upheaval of the Civil War in the 1860s and the suburbanization of Indianapolis in the decades following World War Two. We hope you can join us!
