Sunday’s Guest Preacher: The Rev. Jean Denton

SUNDAY, MAY 15, AT 8 AND 10AM

This Sunday, be with us to welcome The Rev. Jean Denton as our guest preacher. After a career in public health, nursing education and health care administration, Jean was ordained to the diaconate in the Episcopal Church, focusing on parish-based health ministry. She helped found Health Ministries Association and National Episcopal Health Ministries, and she served on the faculty of CREDO, a clergy wellness program, for many years. After she was ordained a priest, Jean served as Senior Associate Rector at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church and in retirement assisted at CCC.

Jean left full-time parish ministry to be present with her husband, Tom, as he completed his 13-year struggle with younger onset Alzheimer’s disease. She is the author of Good is the Flesh: Body, Soul and Christian Faith (2005) and Walking Each Other Home: Spiritual Companionship for Dementia Caregivers (2021).

Led by Jean, the Sunday Forum will focus on the impact of caregiving. All are welcome at 11:30 a.m. in the Parish Hall.
