Holy Week 2021

Dear People of Christ Church Cathedral, Holy Week begins this Sunday, March 28.
Whether you’ve registered for our in-person outdoor services on Palm Sunday, Good Friday, and Holy Saturday (The Great Vigil of  Easter), or you plan to attend our virtual services, we offer this booklet so that every household can take part in this week of sacred ceremony, which is the highlight of the liturgical year for Christians from every denomination and branch of the Church. While the COVID-19 pandemic may have separated us physically for a season, we have never been separated spiritually, either from each other, or from God. I invite you to join your voice in praying these liturgies with us this year.

We are making plans now to begin regularly regathering our Cathedral community in a safe way for public worship sometime in early May; please stay tuned to the weekly Good Word for updates. In the meantime, may these words from our liturgy bless and keep you this week:
Almighty God, we pray you graciously to behold this your family, for whom our Lord Jesus Christ was willing to be betrayed, and given into the hands of sinners, and to suffer death upon the cross; who lives and reigns for ever and ever. Amen.
Yours in Christ,
The Very Reverend Gray Lesesne, D.Min.
Dean and Rector
