Canon for the Circle |Email Mariann

As Canon for the Circle, Mariann leads CCC in collaborating with our nonprofit neighbors and secular groups, in offering hospitality to and connection with the many people and groups who gather on our front doorsteps on Monument Circle, and in supporting our neighbors experiencing homelessness and the agencies who serve them.

Mariann has a true passion for community building and robust experience in conflict resolution. She served over 30 years at the Marion County Prosecutor’s Office, most recently as the Outreach Coordinator, and she is a trained mediator, with a Bachelor of Science degree in Public Affairs from IUPUI and a Certificate in Paralegal Studies.  She is a life-long Hoosier and Episcopalian, serving as the local President of the Union of Black Episcopalians and on the Executive Council for the Diocese of Indianapolis and the Diocesan Racial Justice and Education Team. She is an Education for Ministry (EfM) mentor at St. Paul’s On The Way, a co-facilitator of the Sacred Ground program, and serves on the board of directors of the Indianapolis Neighborhood Resource Center.

In her spare time, Mariann enjoys gardening, reading, taking walks in the woods and trying out new ethnic restaurants. She is the proud pet mom of two dogs, Coco and Mitzie.
