Description

Christ Church Cathedral seeks a full time Associate Director of Music to begin in August, 2023. The Associate Director of Music acts as the principal accompanist for the Cathedral Choir and shares all other service playing with the Director of Music. The Associate Director of Music is expected to perform weekly at the highest possible musical standard to enable choirs and the congregation to make music to the best of their abilities. In addition to playing responsibilities, the Associate Director of Music works closely with the choir school, and carries out administrative duties at the discretion of the Director of Music.

The successful candidate should have a vocational calling to working with children and have considerable experience as a liturgical organist and conductor.

The Cathedral Choir sings evensong on Tuesdays and Thursdays, and leads Choral Eucharist on Sundays. In addition to this schedule, the position may include accompanying and/or playing solo literature for concerts, recordings, and tours. This is a full-time, benefited position with a salary range of $50,000-$55,000.
