Black History Month | “The Lunch Date”

The Racial Justice Team invites you to this Sunday Forum where we will show the short film, “The Lunch Date” and have an open discussion on stereotypes and prejudices. “The Lunch Date” is a study of perceptions that won the 1991 Oscar for Best Short Film. It offers an opportunity to discuss fear and difference, race, social class and status, and the power of unexamined privilege.

Join the Union of Black Episcopalians, the Diocese of Indianapolis, and CCC as we honor the contributions and leadership of the Rev. Absalom Jones, the first African American ordained to the priesthood, in 1802, by the Episcopal Church. The Rev. Andrea Arsene, Curate at St. John’s Episcopal Church in Lafayette, will preach.
