Make Christmas Shine at Dayspring Center

This holiday season, please consider sharing your Christmas with the families at Dayspring Center. One of our ministry partners, Dayspring provides emergency shelter, clothing, and three nourishing meals a day for homeless families with children in central Indiana. Since its doors opened in 1987, Dayspring has helped over 4,000 families, including 12,000 children, find their way back home.

CCC’s Outreach Ministry Team has coordinated with Dayspring to provide two options to support Dayspring families.

OPTION 1: Purchase directly from the Dayspring Center’s Amazon wish list

Purchase items on Dayspring’s wish list via Amazon. Be sure to follow the step-by-step directions to ensure they know it is a CCC donation! Items that are most needed are colored towels, pillows, twin sheets, blankets, canned goods (peas, carrots, green beans, corn, pears, peaches, fruit cocktail), butter, and drink mix.

In order to track each gift as credited to CCC’s drive, donors need to indicate this by doing the following steps:

  1. After adding an item to your cart, make sure the “This is a Gift” option has been checked right under the button “Proceed to Payment.”
  2. On the Shipping and Payment page, be sure to enter Dayspring’s address, 1537 N. Central Ave., Indianapolis, IN 46202.
  3. In the “Gift Message” box, you must put the name of the company or organization you represent (“Christ Church Cathedral”), and your name in the “From” section at the bottom.

OPTION 2: Purchase a gift card

Parishioners who prefer not to use online shopping can choose to purchase $25.00 gift cards from Walmart, Target, Mastercard, or Visa. Dayspring staff will take parents shopping to purchase gifts for their children. Place the gift cards in the offering plate no later than Sunday, Dec. 10.

BONUS OPTION: CCC parishioners may simply make a monetary contribution to CCC that is specifically marked as “Dayspring” in the memo line and CCC will send a combined donation to Dayspring Center.
