Ash Wednesday

WEDNESDAY, FEBRUARY 17 @ 12 & 6 PM (ENG), 7 PM (ESP)

Ash Wednesday marks the start of the Lenten season. The ashes we receive on our foreheads on Ash Wednesday, symbolize both death and repentance, and serve as a reminder of our mortality and the life of Resurrection offered in Christ as we prepare for Easter. Our services this year will be livestreamed at 12 noon (English), 6 PM (English), and 7 PM (Spanish). Due to COVID safety concerns, we will not be offering in-person Ash Wednesday services or Ashes to Go. Instead, the Cathedral-At-Home Kit we’ve prepared for each Cathedral household will include ashes for you and your loved ones to impose on each other.

Parents’ Meeting for Children’s Formation

Christ Church Cathedral 101 is coming!

SUNDAYS, FEBRUARY 21, 28, AND MARCH 7 @ 4 PM

Are you new to Christ Church Cathedral? Welcome! CCC 101 is our new on-ramp course to plug in more deeply, learn more about us, and help you make connections. It is our basic “membership information class,” though, of course, there is no pressure to join anything. Instead, CCC 101 is a space for storytelling, pondering questions, trying on spiritual practices and learning about CCC, the Episcopal Church and the Christian tradition in the context of community. We will meet virtually via Zoom on Sunday evenings from 4-5:30 PM beginning February 21 and running for 3 weeks, through March 7.

Centering Prayer Regathering

MONDAY, FEBRUARY 22 @ 5:30 PM

Join us via Zoom as the Centering Prayer group regathers.
We will meet for a time of reflection and meditation, followed by a discussion on plans for contemplative prayer in 2021. We will conclude at 6:30 p.m. We have not met as a group since March of 2020, and this will be an opportunity to reconnect, check-in, and rest in God’s presence together. Please RSVP to Michael Landon revmlandon@gmail.com If you are unable to attend this session but wish to be part of the group in the future, please let us know that as well.
