Eleven members of Christ Church Cathedral will travel to Southeast Mexico on October 1, 2016 for a seven day pilgrimage of fellowship and service. Along with visiting Anglican communities in the Diocese of Southeast Mexico, our mission team will spend several days with our companion parish of La Transfiguración located in the village of Nuevo Progreso.

La Transfiguración generates income for church expenses with an on-site bakery where bread, pizza and traditional food is prepared and sold to the community of Nuevo Progreso. The congregation of La Transfiguración would like to increase the bakery menu to offer cakes for traditional holiday and family celebrations.

Christ Church Cathedral wants to encourage and support the expansion of the bakery ministry by supplying La Transfiguración with basic baking tools. We invite you to donate new, non-breakable measuring spoons and/or measuring cups that we will present to La Transfiguración. We would also like to take some of your favorite cake recipes with us.

A box to collect the donations and recipes will be located at the back of the Cathedral on September 11th and September 18th.
