The University of the South’s School of Theology and The Beecken Center, Sewanee, Tennessee offers Education for Ministry (EfM) internationally and is enjoyed in over 800 EfM communities. It has been at Christ Church Cathedral for over ten years. EfM provides an opportunity for persons to study, reflect and share in community their unique life journeys of spiritual growth;
called to be ministers of God’s love, mercy and justice; individually and communally. EfM’s main focus is to provide an environment conducive to hearing God’s deepening call to live faithfully in the person’s ordinary of life. This focus is experienced through the practice of theological reflection (TR); taking time to reflect on God’s presence and call in our lives. EfM builds its community experience over four years of study, reflection and prayer as each year enriches the next; Old Testament, New Testament, history of Christianity and readings from theologians and spiritual writers. EfM groups are facilitated by trained mentors, Jude Magers and Theresa Stinson.

The 2020-2021 total tuition and book expense is $375. The EfM community is held either on Tuesday afternoons at 1-3 p.m. or evenings 6-8:15 p.m. EfM begins September 8, 2020 and concludes May 25, 2021. The classes do not meet the weeks of Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year’s and Easter. If you desire to know more about EfM, please contact Jude Magers
(jamagers@indy.rr.com) or Theresa Stinson (stinson.theresa@gmail.com) to inquire and set up a time for conversation. Dates for registration begins July 1, 2020 and ends July 15, 2020. Jude and Theresa look forward to talking with you.
