Welcoming The Rev. Jodi Baron to CCC

We are overjoyed to share that The Reverend Jodi Baron has accepted our call and will join us in late June as CCC’s Canon and Senior Associate! She comes to us from Michigan where she and her husband, Christian, have served as Co-Rectors of St. Philip’s Episcopal Church in Beulah. Jodi also served from 2020-2022 as Co-Rector of Church of the Holy Trinity in Manistee, Michigan.

She brings with her a passion for creating spaces where all people can worship in the language of their hearts and advocate for the people in our city who are most vulnerable to the injustices that permeate the margins of our society.

Jodi’s first day with us will be June 22 when she will begin her work with Dean Lesesne and our team to lead day-to-day programmatic operations, overseeing project and program progress, and ensuring seamless integration of our mission and ministry with our daily practices. She will also work closely with the Dean and the Canon for the Circle to develop a strategy and ministry programs to make meaningful connections with our downtown neighbors.

Jodi holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology (Race & Gender Relations) with a minor in Spanish from Grand Valley State University and Master in Divinity degree from Seminary of the Southwest, with a Hispanic Church Ministries concentration.

She loves to travel, meet new people, and see how the church is bringing about the kingdom of God in every corner of our island home. A native West Michigander, Jodi will become a Hoosier by the grace of God. Away from Monument Circle, you’ll meet her drinking coffee at a local coffee shop, looking for salmon with her best friend and partner in life and ministry, Christian, and being a spectator of her teen daughters as they live their best lives.

We look forward to Jodi’s arrival and the many opportunities you will have to know her better in the coming months!
