Outreach Ministry Team announces partnership with HIM by HER!

CCC is pleased to announce the second organization in our newly refreshed Outreach Grant program, a partnership comprised of both funding and faithful volunteer engagement. HIM by HER Collegiate School for the Arts is a school on the East side that provides rigorous academics appropriately infused with community commitment and character development necessary for college entry and success, and for productive lives in society.  Him by Her offers an afro-centric curriculum rooted in celebrating, honoring, and providing education around the rich and diverse contributions, impact, and achievements of the African American community and culture. HIM By HER also endeavors to counteract the “School-to-Prison Pipeline.”

We look forward to announcing our first day of service with this new partner organization!

Centering Prayer

MONDAYS & TUESDAYS THIS FALL

Do you seek the still, quiet voice of God? Contemplative prayer is God’s personal and unique gift to us and has been a part of our Christian heritage for centuries. If we are open to the gift of contemplation it may profoundly affect our daily life. Starting Sept. 6, there will now be two opportunities each week to join with others for Centering Prayer: Mondays at 5:30 p.m. via Zoom and Tuesdays at 5 p.m. at the church. Guidance will be offered for those new to Centering Prayer practice. Contact Michael Landon for more information.
